Janet Rising

British author who is also editor of Pony Magazine. Janet has been horse mad since a child, when she spent most of her child hood messing about with ponies. As an adult she worked in a donkey stud, as a producer of show ponies and also taught riding.

She also seems to have had an early interest in writing, with her first short story being published when she was just a teenager. As well as editing
Pony Magazine, she also writes for them, including the popular Jorja and Jigsaw series. Her published novels include a spin-off from the Jorja series and a humourous series about a girl who can hear horses talking! She has also written some non-fiction pony books for children.
